About the mentorship program:
The SMPS SeLA Mentorship Program is open to all members and pairs early-career marketers and business developers (protégés) with established industry professionals (mentors), aiming to foster personal and professional growth for each member.

During the year-long program (January - December), protégés and mentors will gain insights into their own careers, strengthen key skills, maximize their SMPS membership, and build trusted relationships. This voluntary program is open to all SMPS SeLA members in good standing and typically requires 1–2 hours per month.

Each month, Program Co-Chairs, Perryn Olson, Jennifer Hanson, and Jenny Schecter will provide talking points and conversation starters to guide the sessions. The session topics include Career Planning, Marketing, Business Development, and Making the Most of Your SMPS Membership. 

Key Dates:
-    October 8, 2025 – Online applications open
-    November 14, 2025 – Applications due (for both mentors and protégés)
-    December 2025 – Committee reviews and pairs mentors/protégés

Eligibility:
-    Must complete the Mentor/Protégé application by the deadline
-    Must complete the Mentor/Protégé commitment letter, which requires at least ten (10) mentor/protégé sessions during the program year (these can be in-person or virtual).
-    Members must be in good standing with the chapter (financial good standing means national member dues are paid, and no outstanding balances)
-    Mentors must have 5+years of professional experience
